I recently got hold of some older IN18's - 1971 date code...I've not seen the getters on the top of these tubes before and neither have I seen the horizontal anode mesh either....

Wow! Very different looking Nick! I, for one have not seen any of these before. Can you take a couple better pics, These are kind of distorted.
