Hello

I checked an Datasheet for the russian IN-18 Nixie tube.

There are two pins, named "giver-pill". I read about that this is a mercury dispenser.

How does it work?

Do i need this for a normal Clock circuit?

Thanks

Hi,

No, you don't need these pins, and in most tubes you should not connect them as they sometimes are connected to internal structures that should not be powered.

These pins are only used during manufacture to release the mercury stored in the small glass tube that can be seen inside the small spiral wire in some tubes, the giver pill.
