New issue 115 by rich...@cyganiak.de: Editing SKOS vocabularies with
Neologism
http://code.google.com/p/neologism/issues/detail?id=115

Neologism is conceived as an RDF Schema editor. Another language for
expressing vocabularies for
use in RDF is SKOS. Should Neologism also support the editing of SKOS
vocabularies?

This is perhaps somewhat related to the Taxonomy module in Drupal, which
probably could be
used as a starting point.

This was requested by Rinke Hoekstra. This is something we might want to
tackle in the far future.

Comment #1 on issue 115 by murfffi: Editing SKOS vocabularies with Neologism
http://code.google.com/p/neologism/issues/detail?id=115

I voted for that issue, although it appears that SKOS authoring is possible
using the
Taxonomy import/export module and the regular Taxonomy editing interface in
Drupal.

Nevertheless, it would be great if one could import SKOS datasets which
contain
statements outside SKOS and then keep those statements when exporting back
the edited
dataset.

As I recall, I tried to upload someone's SKOS instance and Neologism wasn't happy with it - is there a way to display various independently developed SKOS schemes in Neologism?

Hi George,

Neologism was designed and developed to author RDF schema vocabularies (RDF classes and properties). As the about page [1] says, Neologism is no SKOS editor. I understand what you are asking is rather to use Neologism as a front end to display a SKOS instance, but that's not supported by Neologism. I would recommend to maybe look at other visualization tools rather than trying to leverage Neologism (most of the Neologism features would not be used and might get in your way). That said you could integrate a visualization library into your existing Neologism/Drupal site (maybe via embedding it in a page, or by writing a custom module).

hope that helps,

Steph.
