Would be a dream come true, but I believe the CPS2 requires a little
more muscle than the NeoGeo. I may wrong on that.

look:http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=85594, it wont
have a good gui like taht, but imagine just like neo ds, the cps2 logo
on the bottom, the game on top! i think this is good!

Im pretty sure cps2 has almost the same hardware

If you take QSound out of the emulation they are almost the same, except that the CPS2 main processor is clocked almost two times over the Neo Geo's one.

I think the CPS1 is very similar to the NeoGeo.

NeoGeo: 12Mhz 68k, 4Mhz Z80
CPS2: 16Mhz 68k, 8Mhz Z80

The CPS2 video hardware is very different from the NeoGeo, which may
or may not work out better on the DS. And I think the games tend to
be smaller which would help some. QSound is a sample based audio
system, so it shouldn't be too expensive to emulate. But the faster
CPU speed would really hurt. At 12Mhz, the 68k cpu is already the
main bottleneck in NeoDS.

CPS1 has CPU speeds more in line with the NeoGeo, but it looks like it
relies much more on FM audio than the NeoGeo which is bad. Still, I'm
fairly certain it could be done. CPS2 is doable too I think, but it
would probably need a faster cpu core than Cyclone. Anyway, I have no
plans to work on either atm, but I'd be happy to provide help to
anyone who wanted to try. And I *may* decide to try it myself
someday. There are just too many things that I want to work on.

this is what i mean guys, the developer actually replies, (so awesome,
i think i just had a heart attack) i think i should look into this
farther and i didnt really wanna bother the developer to create this
but i was just seeing if he knew if this COULD be emulated, now that i
know it could and it would be doable but a long process, (maybe even 2
years!), ill look into this. too bad i dont know C or coding. Im
pretty sure there is going to be somm people out there who are going
to work on this just like the NeoDS which i thought was impossible,
but was AWESOME! You guys, its gonna happen! Cross your fingers!

If the NeoDS developer, who really knows about the DS hard capabilities and the CPS's needs, say it's possible then it's really good news.

I hope someone take some time to try developing a CPS emulator...

Anyway it may be very hard to emulate right something with even more horsepower than the NeoGeo... I already thought NeoDS was using some kind of black magic... I suppose that's what you get when you do a good use of the ARM cache... (anyway I never got cache optimizations)

"If the NeoDS developer, who really knows about the DS hard" I cant
understand your english, I"f the Neods developer, and the it just
stops. if he what? if he...? thats why i say "What?"

Mmm... I'm not a native English speaker, but that sentence I wrote looked very fishy to me anyway...
I'll try to say that with other words...

"If the NeoDS developer says it is possible then those are great news, because he knows very well what the Nintendo DS's hardware is capable of, and if he says it can emulate the CPS, then it should be true."

Something like that... I hope it is understandable now...

Your English is actually fine. It's Jimmay who isn't keeping up in a
place full of non-english speakers. A bit of sentence break-up:

If the NeoDS developer (who really knows about the DS hard[ware]
capabilities and
the CPS's needs) say it's possible, then it's really good news.

What about Ultra64 arcade emulation ?

I would love to play Killer Instinct on DS
with Arcade Graphix (not the bugy SNES grafix)

But i think this is imposible, isn´t it?

Whatever...

I want to thank ingramb for this REALLY fantastic piece of homebrew!
Finally we got some Beat em up´s action on the DS !!
