about: using both postgres and neo4j in the same application

Hello

I'm a student, who are researching on something like "how to use graph database along with postgres db in a Ruby on rails project". I was wondering if I can use neo4j.rb along with activerecord, or is there some practically good way of using both a postgres db and a neo4j graph database. I'm developing an ruby on rails project, and I only want to use neo4j for some specific task and then have my postgres database as the "main database".

Actually, I want both. Well, best scenario would be i could connect them together somehow.
