During the 24 hours, protesters will undertake the World AIDS Day tradition of the ‘Reading of the Names,’ where the names of those we have lost in the over 30 years since the beginning of the epidemic are read aloud. Invoking the over 100,000 New Yorkers lost to AIDS, we hope to raise pressure on Governor Cuomo, Assembly Speaker Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Flanagan to stand with us in ending AIDS in New York.
