(SOLVED) So im following this tutorial and i download cios installer the way he shows and it does not appear in my homebrew. A few minutes later in the video it shows how to get usb loader gx and that DOES work for me. I am using a 32GB SanDisk SDHC card that i formatted into FAT32. This is my first post here and i an relatively new to modding my wii so i will be glad to provide any necessary information that you may require. Thanks! P.S. it also says that an apps folder should appear in my sdhc card folder? That is not appearing. But one did appear when i installed usb loader gx
I just started softmodding my wii for the first time using the guide in the sidebar, and I've been stuck at this point of the cios installer for about an hour. Is this normal? If it's not, is it safe for me to reset my wii and try again? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm a complete noob to this.

He told me that when I run d2x cIOS installer to install USB Loader GX, I need an original Wiimote and not one with Wii Motion Plus. He said if I try to run it with Wiimote Plus, then the Wii would just shut off. I asked him if I could use a GameCube controller, and he said he didn't know whether or not I could use a GCN controller, so I came to this subreddit. Could I use a Wiimote Plus or a GameCube controller to edit values In d2x cIOS installer to run USB Loader GX, or do I need an original Wiimote?
This WAD selection matches up with wii.guide's cIOS installation at the time of writing, if the recommended guide changes or you are deviating from the guide for some reason, d2x installer will tell you the name of the WAD it wants, which includes the base IOS and revision. Simply follow method #2 above with the base and revision needed.
