I am hoping that some of you on the group can help with some information. We are coming up on the start of the replacement process for our next ambulance. We currently have 3 C-4500 Osage units. The first to go will be our 2004 which currently has just over 200,000 miles on it. We LOVE this chassis and are apprehensive to replace it given what we know of the choices out there. I am wondering if any of you have replaced your C4500 recently and if so what did you go with, why and how is that choice working out for you. We thought of just refurbing the unit and keeping it but over the past few months we have had some issues that make replacement necessary. Up till now this unit has been the most reliable unit we have ever owned and also by far the cheapest to run. We are a relatively large volunteer service that almost always has a 3 person crew so space is a concern. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
