Hi all,
I’m trying to get data about the total installed capacity of generation in the NEM (and how it has changed over time in the past, and is forecast to change in the future with closures and new constructions.)
I’m looking at the NEM Registration and Exemption List, sheet “PU and Scheduled Loads”. (Nemosis is not currently able to process this. A fix will be released in the next update. So for now, I’m downloading this manually.)
I’ve noticed that the DUID column is “-“ for 9 generators:

These are all non-scheduled generators. However most non-scheduled generators do have a DUID. Only some don’t.
Why do some non-scheduled generators have no DUID? I understand that non-scheduled generators are less involved with AEMO, and less visible, than scheduled ones. However I would still expect them to always have a DUID.
One of these also has Category=Market, which sounds odd. At first I thought this was the Callide unit that had the fire. No, I think this is actually Callide A, which was decomissioned in 2015. DISPATCH_UNIT_SCADA shows this as CALL_A_4. I expected decomissioned plants to remain here with the original DUID. Does AEMO just delete the DUID if it’s not longer operating? How are we supposed to join data sets without a DUID?
Regards,
Matthew
