Hello,
On Unix-type systems, the default is to not use BLAS. So why does FLINT_jll use it on these systems? Does it improve performance?
Best,
Albin

Dan can say more about it, but
- in julia BLAS is always available
- in improved performance in some/ many cases
- it was embarrassing that for some finite fields, fake matrix
multiplication was much faster in julia than natively in flint. This
was due to BLAS..
