Taumarunui falcons would like to personally invite you and your club
to the 2012 national association of ancient and medieval arts
gathering in te wera, taranaki, 19-21st october.

This year, for your entertainment and delight we have several fighting
fields and styles available, including; battle of the nations, sca
heavy, rapier and saber, archery combat, armor grade fighting, as well
as others.

We have tournaments in dark age, medieval and renaissance weapons as
well as a 48 hour dueling competition.

Other competitions include best medieval dish, brew comps, archery
comps ( both target and moving) best dressed, best battle death, best
campsite and many more.

Naama Olympics will feature with teams of 5, feats of strength skill
and dexterity!

For our non-combatants we have workshops, craft corners,and a Turkish
coffee tent.

Don't forget about the kids! We will have a 9 -4 supervised kids
corner with fun activities including bush walks, shield painting,
treasure hunts and fort building.

Options range to suit all budgets, self catered tenting from just $60
pp! There are heaps of cabins available, we offer a fully catered
weekend with local meats and veggies roasted to perfection, we are
even baking pies :)

Do tomorrow's archaeologists a big favor: Always carry some change in your pocket. That way if you happen to be buried alive by an earthquake, any future researchers who unearth your bones from the quake debris can easily approximate the year of the quake.

Hi all,

I just want to say, NAAMA is the biggest north island event (bar the biannual jousting tournament) and well worth getting along to if you’d like to meet other re-enactors from around the country. It’s steel weapons (as opposed to the Canterbury event which is SCA).

Looks like John who came to our Faire will be going.

Sophie and Justin are great people and know their stuff.

I’d encourage you to go along if you’re thinking about it.
