NM Autumn Camp

Hi all,

 

A whole bunch of people are unable to make the date we’d set for the NM autumn camp.  So we need to choose another date.  Markus and Christine are away for all of April, so it really needs to be in March if we want the weather to be any good.

The Marchfest is the 24^th, so it needs to be before that.

Jim and Dilyse are happy for us to use their place again if we wanted, though we’d need to check the dates with them again.

 

Also, we need a volunteer to be co-ordinator for this event.

The weekend before (17^th) is the Nelson trolley derby and we’ll be heavily involved in that, and no doubt a lot of other people will be going too.

Sorry, but I can’t offer much help as we have Frogs play, trolley derby, school camp and Xan’s birthday that month already!

I would have thought it would be too cold by then, and the days shorter.  But if everyone wants to do it in May that’s all good.  Just some folk looked pretty cold last year.

Cold? We've had a couple of camps now and any one who prefers to be warm would have made some woollen kit by now. Sadly I am only able to make dates in April at the moment. Sorry!

Hi everyone,

 

Suppose we all note which dates we're unavailable and we pick the date the most of us can make?

 

I thought it was fairly certain we would be having it at our house and I've been slowly making progress on cutting the grass with a line trimmer for those who have allergies. The guineapigs have also been given the hard word, although I hear muffled sobs every time we move their cage now, and squeaky complaints of "But I'm so full!"

 

If it gets too cold, we can always clear the lounge and put mattresses down in front of the fire very easily. The camp at Jim and Dileece's last year was lovely and it's fine if the majority want it there, but the children and I may not be able to make it if it's held there this year.
