October camp invitation - text?

I can't remember who picked up the task to design a text for our camp, but I'm quite busy this week, so if you want some design done on it, it would be good to get a text soon, if we want to have it ready for August.

Hi there, I'm really sorry, meant to do this immediately.... Here are my thoughts for the invitation, please check I've remembered the details correctly;

 

"In a tranquil valley there is a sunlit meadow, where wild bird song and river sounds fill the air, and the scent of wood smoke, baking bread and mediaeval cooking waft tantalisingly past the tents and through the archery field, calling archers and all to gather round the fire and share food, skills, songs and stories….

We at Nelson Mediaeval invite you to join us in a restful jaunt back through time at the Maitai Campground, from Wednesday 10^th October to Sunday 14^th October (conveniently at the end of the school holidays), for an old-fashioned $6 per person per night. We have a reserved field near the river just for us and our mediaeval guests, and a conveniently placed portal back into 21^st century ablutions and kitchen facilities.

If numbers warrant there may be a set menu, so please RSVP by 19^th September, otherwise we will self cater around the fire and have a shared meal together on the Saturday night.

Greetings All,

Eryl's text looks good - just a couple of details.

1. Last paragraph - we agreed not to mention shared cooking (except for Saturday nite) to encourage people to do their own , either at a camp fire or in the kitchen. If we get very few takers, we can later decide to share cooking.(bearing in mind we have no cauldrons etc.).

2. RSVP to whom ??

3.  Weren't people to book directly with the campground - if so provide details/link

Markus you may have thoughts too - if you can work up final version ASAP and send to us, we'll forward to Chch SCA.

Attached the first draft of the invite. It's A4 in a PDF. If text needs changes let me know. Who is looking after our official nelsonmediaeval email address? I'm happy to take care of the bookings of the camp, but need password and username etc..

Hi Folks
 
I'm back in Upper M and back online.  Roger is still away, he's not back for 4 weeks.
 
The invite looks fantastic. 

When we were at Kerikeri I dropped into The Stone Store and yes, the pots would have been too heavy to bring back with me but I was tempted to pick up a small pan for myself so we now have another very small cooking pot (no lid).   
 
The nelson mediaeval web page login is nelsonmediaeval and the password is Atawhai
 
The last time I tried to do something on it, it crashed on me and said something about limited capacity.  Sorry, I'm not great with these things if they go haywire.
 
See you all on Saturday.  I have 2 stories that I'm working on.
