We are excited to host the upcoming Nek User Meeting, a semi-regular event for the Nek Community, set to convene in Richmond, Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). This gathering presents a unique opportunity to engage with Nek developers and users to discuss topics in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to discover the latest Nek advancements, and to have discussions in an informal and enjoyable setting.
Why should you attend?
If you are a current user, it's useful to see what other users and the developers are doing/implementing into the code.
If you haven't used Nek but want to, we will be providing free once a day training for an hour on basics of Nek. Additionally, we are encouraging interested persons to attend and give a talk about what they'd like to use Nek for. This will enable feedback to be provided by the community on how to get folks started.
For this meeting, we are charging a $100 registration per attendee that will pay for room reservation and potentially other items if enough people register. We will take registration at the meeting in the form of a check with a receipt provided.
