Hi,

Is there any documentation about how gslib works? I'm particularly interested in how the findpts functions work. I've tried reading the C++ code but it's very confusing to me.

Thanks,
Juan Diego

Not that I know. What are you trying to do?

I found this online, seems like a good primer on the subject: https://www.kth.se/social/files/5b14371756be5b899ec4af73/noorani_peplinski_schlatter_2015.pdf

I'm trying to couple Nek5000 with a GPU-based particle code. I want to see if I could implement a version of findpts_local to interpolate solutions at particle locations using the GPU. The evaluations would be local and I would use gslib to transfer element data to the appropriate ranks before interpolating.

Hi,

We have two documents, one about the interpolation as part of Azad Noorani's PhD thesis, and a working document by Nicolas Offermans. Both are on our groups homepage, https://www.kth.se/social/group/simex/page/publications-3/, scroll down to "Technical reports".

Best regards,
Philipp

P.S. Now I see that others have already answered with the same documents.
