Curved side preservation in mesh generation

Dear Nek community,

I am trying to generate a structured mesh around a 2D aerodynamic object with generic edge curvature. I am using the meshing software Ansys ICEM and exporting in .exo format, but the elements with curved sides end up being approximated by line segments in nek5000.

Could you please suggest me alternative ways for generating mesh around a complex geometry and preserving curved edges on nek5000?

Did you convert to hex20 element and project to geometry in ICEM ?

if you do so, the mesh should preserve your curvature.

The other meshing tool that are often used is gmsh, you can convert to nek mesh using gmsh2nek.
