hello,

I have encountered a problem in running genmap on a mesh prepared with the following workflow:
  1. Use icemcfd to create an exodus HEXA20+ mesh
  2. Use exo2nek to create a re2-file
I then pair this with a rea-file to run genmap, and it crashes with a segfault.
Output is in the attached file.

Has anyone else seen this, or does anyone have a suggetsion about what to do next?

All the best

Thor

Hi Thir,

We will need to narrow down whether it's in exodus, exo2nek, or genmap.

On the genmap side, based on your out.txt, it's not clear what is the actual error.
I'd suggest compile genmap with FFLAG="-g" so it prints the full trace of segfault.

It's probably helpful to keep the stderr into log, like this:
  $ cat t.sh

  genmap <<EOF | tee output.log 2>&1
  eddy
  0.2
  EOF

Hope this helps,
Yu-Hsiang

Thank you,

Recompilation seems to have nailed it.
Best guess is that it was a library mismatch.
