Please announce to your physics faculty and students that Augustana
College in Rock Island, IL will be hosting an SPS Zone Meeting Fri Nov
20 - Sat Nov 21.  Student talks and posters are encouraged, but come
for the events and to share ideas even if you don't have a talk to
give!

Current schedule:

Friday, November 20

3:30 - 4:30 pm  Registration.  The registration fee is $6 per person.
                      Science Building - first floor atrium
3:45 - 5:00     Outreach demos, equipment demos, free and for-sale items
5:00 - 6:00     Dinner
6:00 - 7:00     Invited speaker - Ken Gayley, University of Iowa,
"Galileo vs Einstein"
7:00 - 9:00     Carl Gamble Observatory open for viewing (weather permitting)
9:00    Movie - to be announced

Saturday, November 21

9:30 am  Refreshments
10:00 - 11:30   Student Presentations
11:30 - 12:30   Lee Carkner, Augustana College, "Galileo's
Observations and Beyond"
12:45 - 2:00    Lunch and Galileo vs. Einstein trivia
