The Roxborough Development Corporation, in Conjunction with the Friends of Gorgas Park

and the Manayunk-Roxborough Food Co-op Announce the 2014 Music Solstice Festival

In a collaboration with Make Music Philly, the Solstice Festival will be a

day-long celebration of family, fun, community and music in Roxborough’s beautiful Gorgas Park.

 

Hosted by WXPN’s Dan Reed, the Roxborough Solstice Festival will be a collaboration with Make Music Philly, Philadelphia’s only free “do-it-yourself” music festival and will showcase performances by: Ben Arnold, The Fractals, The Late Saints, John Byrne, Matt Gauss Band, Kwesi K., Pete Donnelly & Tayla St. Rose, Ali Wadsworth, Cookie Rabinowitz, The Doublewides, and Peace Creeps.

 

The event will be title sponsored by ShopRite with entertainment provided by Roxborough Memorial Hospital. In addition to the exciting line-up of musical performances, the Roxborough Solstice Festival will feature a Solstice Beer Garden, food and refreshments by local vendors and food trucks such as Local 215, Poi Dog Philly and Mom and Pop’s; as well as wonderful family-fun activities including moon bounce houses, carnival games, face painting, dunk tanks, a petting zoo and more.
