Important National Grid Road Closure Update

National Grid Gas Main Replacement Project Update/Millingof Red Ground Road - Final Phase Update: 
(July 17th)

The final phase of area grading and paving of the National Grid Gas Main Replacement Project in the area of Red Ground Road and the L.I.E. Service Road continued today and the milling of Red Ground Road is being moved up and will begin tomorrow Thursday, July 18th. This work will require a full closure of this section of Red Ground Road between 8AM and 5PM. On Friday, July 19th, general clean-up of the work area will occur in preparation for final "curb–to–curb" paving of the intersection and north along Red Ground Road that is tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 22nd and Tuesday, July 23rd. Sections of this roadway during this final paving are subject to closure and drivers are being asked to avoid the area. The Village is thankful that this National Grid Capital Project is coming to an end and appreciates the continued understanding and patience of the community.

The Old Westbury Police Department will continue to be present for traffic control and will assist residents who live in this area.
