Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As many of you know by now, I am running to become Village Justice of Old Westbury.  I will be THE ONLY name on the ballot as decided by the Nassau County Supreme Court which ruled that as a result of my opponent’s egregious violation of New York State Election Law, she was not entitled to a spot on the ballot.

It is incumbent upon an individual wishing to serve as Village Justice shows knowledge and understanding of the law. My opponent, who was appointed to serve for the last several months has demonstrated that she is unable to do so.

There is no need to write in the name of a judicial candidate who either doesn’t know or chose not to follow the law.  It is my opponent who has cost me and cost The Village money in an effort to uphold and enforce the law.

While my opponent further looks to cost the Village money by seeking a $14,000 salary from The Village, I have vowed volunteer my services at no cost to The Village.  I firmly believe that it would be an honor to wear the black robe on behalf of the Village, and that the $14,000 should be used to benefit the taxpayers in other ways.

I have been a resident of the Village of 15 years. I have been volunteering my services as a member of the Board of Zoning and Appeals and have done so for many years.  I have over 20 years of courtroom experience serving both as a New York County Assistant District Attorney and Prosecutor for the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.  Additionally, I was a senior partner at Friedman Khafif and Sanchez for over 12 years.

I graduated from Brooklyn Law School having been awarded “The Order of the Barrister” and having served as a board member of the Moot Court Honor Society.

The choice should be clear:

Please take time to vote for me, Albert Khafif, for Village Justice on June 20th at Village Hall from 12 pm to 9 pm.

Thank you, in advance, for your support!

Respectfully,

Albert Khafif, Esq.
