We have house guests from Minnesota arriving late afternoon or early evening on Thursday, so I think I'd better stay home to greet and to serve dinner.  Sorry to miss the meeting.  I hope Jane will be able to attend to tell you all about our meeting with McDaris.  I felt it was overall positive and that he was open to further conversation;  I think he really heard us when we asked him to give us a job to help in the schools' anti-bullying efforts.

This weeks Neighbors For Equality Meeting will be follow up from some recent meetings with Jeff McDaris and other school officials. I know some people are out of town and we can get updates from them at the following meeting. We will also discuss some of the new developments at the state level with regards to a possible defense of marriage ammendent to the North Carolina constitution. We will meet at the North Village Pavillion Thursday at 7:00pm. I look forward to seeing you all there.
