Dear Neighbors,
PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE COUNCIL HEARING TOMORROW NIGHT AT 7:30 PM ON THE NEW ZONING CODE.
The hearing will be held at the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. There is parking in the building.
IN ADDITION, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO THE COUNTY COUNCIL EXPRESSING YOUR VIEWS ON THE NEW ZONING CODE.
The email address is county....@montgomerycountymd.gov.
The email can be very brief, and, of course, it should be polite. You should give your address so that the Council knows that you are from Montgomery County, and that you will be affected by the new zoning code.
I have attached a summary of the issues raised by the new code. The bottom line is, LEAVE THE R-60 AND R-90 RESIDENTIAL ZONES ALONE, AND REQUIRE THAT THE CR ZONES AND THE FLOATING ZONES BE RECOMMENDED IN MASTER PLANS.
