Dear Neighbors,
This Thursday, September 20th, the Planning Board is having its first public hearing on the new draft Zoning Code. The focus will be on the Commercial/Residential (CR) and Employment Zones. The hearing is scheduled for the morning, starting a little after 9:00 AM and going until lunchtime. I am forwarding an email from the Planning Department with the announcement of the hearing and with the links to the Staff Report and other documents. (Note: The CR zones have been revised again—Staff has a new version attached to its Staff Report.)

When you go to the item—Item No. 3, Public Hearing on Zoning Rewrite—there is also a link to the Staff Report. Rather than testify, you may send an email to the Planning Board Chair (MCP-...@mncppc-mc.org) with your comments on the CR and Employment zones. Your email must mention the Item number, and it must arrive 24 hours before the hearing to be included in the record. To be on the safe side, I suggest sending any comments by COB tomorrow.
I am also submitting comments to the Planning Board, and I will forward those to you soon.
