Dear Neighbors,

I hope that most of you have already heard the good news that the PHED Committee voted unanimously on December 2nd, on a motion made by the Chair, Nancy Floreen, to remove the general/nonresidential building from the residential zones.  We are very grateful to the Chair and to PHED members Elrich and Leventhal for their critical vote to remove this intrusion from our neighborhoods.  We ask you all to thank the Chair and the members of the Committee, too.

The PHED Committee meets again this Monday, December 9th at 1 pm. Julie Davis and I have written the PHED with our thanks and our comments about the issues that still remain—and there are many.  I am attaching our comments for you.  We remain concerned about public benefits for our communities, floating zones with too great densities, rezoning most of our commercial areas to the CR zones, and the special exception process, and other things, too.  It’s all in the attachment!

See you on Monday,

Meredith
