I wanted to let you all know , I couldn't agree more about our discussion on Blueprint for Equity. We have talked this to death and more action is needed.  I will not be able to attend the next Committee of the Whole. I will attempt to keep up on this thru our electronic communications, but wanted you all to know I am whole heartedly behind this effort.

I think it is critical to have the listening sessions with the community. As such, I hope to attend several of the meetings in order to personally obtain a diversity of opinions and perspectives from the meetings. I encourage anyone to attend the District 1 meeting as well.

Howard Blin does an introductory overview of the neighborhood programs. He has some poster boards with program details and a list of questions. That would be good to share with NCEC members, Howard.

Howard, you might print some NCEC district maps with commissioner’s names. You might have 1-2 copies of the Framework for the Future that you reference. 

Commissioner Barthelemy, as with the CPP development listening sessions, we have typically practiced about 90% listening to the input and feedback and 10% statements and comments by NCEC members and staff (excluding introductions and objectives overview). Yesterday, some residents indicated interest in learning what had been said at prior listening sessions. Ideally, once the meeting notes have been vetted, I think those could go online just like the Blueprint for Equity meeting notes.

cheyenne - i will attend the committee of the whole meeting on feb. 12.

also, it seems food - or a lack thereof - is an issue at these meetings.  i remember howard once spoke negatively about people wanting food.  if you want to - or are able to - throw it out there to others, i'm willing to contribute to a food and beverage purchase.
