NEHAWU FREE STATE TO CONVENE ITS 14th PROVINCIAL CONGRESS

 

Sunday May 2, 2021

 

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) in the Free State Province will be convening its 14th Provincial Congress from the 4th to the 6th May 2021 under the theme “Strengthen Workplace Organization, Deepen Class Consciousness and Advance Internationalism” in Parys.

 

The congress will discuss the international balance of forces, national political and socioeconomic situations including an organisational assessment focusing particularly matters affecting our members and the working class in general. This is an elective congress and will elect a new leadership to oversee the work of the organisation for the next four years.

 

The 1st Deputy President of NEHAWU, Comrade Mike Shingange, will give a keynote address to the congress on the 1st day of the congress and fraternal organisations will give messages of support.

 

The congress is scheduled as follows:

 

Date: 4 to 6 May 2021

 

Time: 2pm on the first day (Tuesday May 4, 2021)

 

Venue: Woodlands Country Lodge Kopjeskraal Road Parys

 

All Covid-19 protocols have been complied with and will be implemented.
