A message from Etowah District’s own Advancement Committee:
Greetings Etowah! Please come join us at the Eagle Board of Reviews this coming Tuesday, July 25th, starting at 7:00pm. The Eagle Boards will take place at Cumming First United Methodist Church at 770 Canton Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040. When you arrive, please use the covered South entrance, which leads to the lower level underneath the sanctuary.
Through the first half of the year the Etowah district has had 35 Scouts earn the rank of Eagle. We again have a full schedule this month with 6 Eagle Boards scheduled along with 9 Project Reviews.
If you have a Scout coming to the boards please reach out to the adults in your unit for volunteers as the Scout should bring three adults that can assist with other boards. With summer vacations and the National Jamboree going on, some of our regular volunteers will be missing this month. Please encourage adults in your units to come and assist. Volunteers do not need to be registered Scouters; any adult over the age of 21 can sit on a board. New volunteers will be placed with a veteran board member. This is a great opportunity for parents of Life Scouts to participate in the process so they can understand the process their sons will experience in the coming months.

Please spread the word: The BSA has updated the Eagle Rank Application for 2017. The new application must be used as council has begun sending old applications back to Scouts.
