Fellow registered leaders,

Summer is here and that means the Etowah District Day Camps are approaching fast. It also means the opportunity to volunteer for the young and old. The volunteers needed for the South Forsyth Day Camp include:

·       Adult Den Leaders (qty 7)

·       Boy Scout Den Chiefs (qty 5) – note: must be the age of 14+

·       Parking attendants (qty 6) – note: options are 8:30-9:15 AM and/or 2:30-3:30 PM

·       Check in table (qty 1)

·       Sports station volunteers (qty 3)

·       Nature station volunteers (qty 3)

·       Craft station volunteers (qty 2+ per day)

With ~150+ plus scouts expected at this event, having your help to staff is essential for the youth and the adults.

Can non-BSA personnel assist? Yes, if they have completed their BSA Youth Protection Training @ https://my.scouting.org.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. And yes, this does count as volunteer hours for a Boy Scout rank. (BONUS!!!)

Note: The Boy Scouts of America Youth Protection Training is required. (and if you need the training please go to https://my.scouting.org to register and self-train on the YPT training for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts; also, reach out to Carol if you need clarification)

Thanks for all that you do within scouting and our overall community. Without you and your efforts our scouting program within the Etowah District would not be possible.

Yours in cheerful service,

The Etowah District Committee
