Hi Nectrines

You’ll receive a longer email in a bit that will list all of the recipients of art grants this year and a little about the process, but while you await that, I wanted to jump the gun a bit and announce: 

Effigy 

'Sparky Stinkbutt' 

Born from campfire smoke and chili-fueled legends, Sparky Stinkbutt is a giant skunk who farts fireballs to ward off intruders and tickle the skies.

Temple 

'Said Well' 

Said Well is a massive bottle sculpture; a quiet, shared space for holding what’s been said, unsaid and all that falls in between. Inside, you’re invited to release words you’ve been carrying, grieve messages that never made it and record the words you still hope to hear.

I personally have volunteered for fire perimeter for Sparky Stinkbutt and would love anyone to join me. You can sign up online. 

There’s many ways you can help in a more casual way as well. This may include raking away dry grass, filling the effigy with wood in the afternoon, or any other tasks. Please say hello at the burn, and swing by the effigy Saturday afternoon and offer help.
