Sunday tour of HH JPS in Bombay Gorai beach and hanuman Tekri (hill.)
Bombay 4th of December 2009.

We would like to share with all of you some nice stories on the
activities
of our beloved Guru maharaja as many devotees write to me asking why I
am
not posting more diaries about GM, but it is due to my health
limitations
these days as I am not able to go everyday to the Bhaktivedanta
hospital
and sometimes I get delayed in my writings, but obviously other
reports are
coming out from other assistants of our guru maharaja, who most of
them
have left all their own services and businesses to render
unconditional
service to our beloved Guru maharaja along with a very nice and
qualified
staff of doctors and nurses of the Bhaktivedanta Hospital. I have some
more
information to give about few days back but would like to limit this
one to
the Sunday program.
A day before I came along with Braj hari prabhu to see GM and ask him
what
he needs if anything and also to have at his disposal the car to take
him
to where ever it is convenient for his only day of rest, from heavy
physiotherapies, but as I said earlier there was a possibility that
Guru
maharaja comes to Juhu temple and even to see if he can give some
lecture,
although all you know still GM is not able to talk in a normal way
nor he
is able to pronounce the letters eeee and or oooo, but still we can
understand many of his words, all these 2 days Saturday and Sunday GM
was
with good humor and as you may know I try to keep joking and giving a
relaxing mode to GM unless circumstances makes it otherwise. But as
most of
us suggested GM should still not strain himself in going far nor to
be
around many people, while still his immune system is not strong
enough,
although we are all amazed how his health has improved a lot, that
nowadays
no insulin is given and he is having a very good and controlled diet.
For
this Sunday 4th of December 2009 Gurumahraja woke up as usual, he was
shaved by devotees given a bath then breakfast and speech therapy then
was
ready to go to the Hanuman hills and the beach.
HG Dr Shyamlal prabhu a very competent doctor and very humble devotee
always in a good mode who is in charge of the team doctors assisting
Guru
maharaja, came today although was his day off but he told me I like to
come
and check how are all our patients even on Sunday so no rest for these
great vaishnavas, he was very happy to see how GM is now a days and
very
optimistic that soon GM will regain all his energy and strength to
continue
serving Srila Prabhupada in his best level as he has been doing for
more
than 40 years already, as you all know GM is one of the most senior
disciples of Srila Prabhupada and the senior most sannyasa in our
society.

I can say that all the devotees in the Bhaktivedanta hospital are like
sons
of GM with all their loyal and devotional service to our gurudeva that
Guru
maharaja says they are his adopted sons.
At noon GM was ready to go when suddenly few minutes back the
electricity
was off in all the hospital but we informed them that GM was leaving
now.
Immediately arrangements were made to put the generator on so the lift
can
be used and thus was done, I came to tell GM” you see Guru maharaja,
they
love so much here , as we told them you need to leave, they switched
on the
generator for you, GM replied joking with me as “Oh when Tusti is here
there is no fear”. Anyway we proceeded to put GM on the wheelchair, as
it
is not an easy task many devotees help in this regard, Don’t know why
all
devotees feel special happiness to do whatever service to GM but the
most
personal services are like the most desired by devotees, The feel
super
happiness in serving a very dear servant of Srila Prabhupada and
associate
of Lord Caitanya, but unfortunately we would like to serve closely but
not
with these health conditions, GM was told few days back that he became
108
kilos nowadays, after all what have happened and the special diets
given to
him, but GM reached his desired weight as he once told me I want to
have
108 kilos as maximum and now he had achieved it, but then he commented
to
devotees , I don’t recommend this diet or to lose weight in this way
as it
was due to the stroke he had.
HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaja left at noon and we proceeded to the
car
were also many devotees were planning to join us, so in total were 3
cars
as Juhu temple sent 2 cars for this. And other devotee Dr. HG
Vaishnava
Seva prabhu was leading us this time. HG Jagajivan Prabhu the Mira
Road
temple president joined us in this nice short tour.
In the car we were Dr Siromani mataji, Bhadra Balaram das, Ekanath
Gaura
das, Acintya nitai das and myself, while other devotees went in other
cars,
as Dharesha das, Mahavaraha das, the matajies (Ratnavali dd and
Madhuri
Yamuna mataji) and other devotees came in the other cars.

The plan went as we wanted, first directly to Hanuman Tekri, a very
beautiful hilly area that has the name of the first class devotee of
Lord
Rama, the road is very nice as we leave the city all the hectic
traffic and
pollution were behind with the uncomfortable noises, the weather was
very
nice and cool breeze, a very good place for GM to have a fresh air and
clean area as he is confined the whole week in an air conditioned room
in
the hospital receiving all day commands, do this , eat this, now this
therapy, now sleeping, now this and that, ufffffff, que tortura ?!!
Too
much for an eagle like GM, who was traveling and going from one place
to
another and seeing always new faces, but nowadays the same faces and
same
routine, must be heavy for him due to his lifestyle as international
preacher as you all know his holiness, always strong and happy serving
his
Gurudevas mission. But as few days back when he was visited by Mrthu
Hara
prabhu from Italy, told him, Prabhupada is here wherever you re are
giving
you strength. For sure GM will come out of this soon with more
strength and
realizations. May Krsna give him more energy to always bless new
people to
become Lord Caitanya deva’s followers.
On the way when we reached at the hill we found out many devotes
dancing
and chanting when they saw GM arriving, it was a surprise for us as we
didn’t know that more devotees were there, well these news of GM’s
itinerary always travel like the light amongst devotees so they were
eager
and waiting to see GM this day, they came from Radha Giridhari temple
and
joined all of us. Then we reached the top where the temple complex was
there a very nice area very greenful with good standard in
construction and
services, seems there is a guest house and school and other
facilities.
The temple was closed until 4 pm, then we enquired from GM what he
prefers
and he agreed to go to the beach nearby. There it was told that the
beach
is 6 km away from here. we reached after few minutes, and found out a
long
beach with dark color sand, few people were there but we went further
to a
more empty place and parked the cars, amazing how after few minutes
the
water level raised, so we decided to go to a much safer place, after
short
time GM was given coconut water and was talking to devotees like
Vaishnava
Seva prabhu and others, there was also a mataji she looks like
sanyasin
with the head shaved and white clothes, I don’t know where is she from
but
her name is Devaki dd and she serves in Bangladesh, she was impressed
by
GM’s memory which was reminding her about many things in Bangladesh
and
even about some beach there called Cox bazaar beach, and she replied
yes,
impressed how he remembers names, she said I even don’t remember but
you
still remember. she is a disciple of HH Prabhavishnu swami.
Before putting GM in the wheel chair Ekanath Gaura and Mahavaraha as
usual
in a funny mode sat together on the wheelchair to see if it is able to
move
on the sand and it was ok. After going in the wheelchair from one
place to
another due to the raise of the waters as trying to touch the feet of
GM,
we were taking pictures while also Madhuri Yamuna mataji was leading
nice
soft kirtans, suddenly when were leaving we found out that one of the
cars
of the devotees was stuck in the sand as water levels were raising,
anyway
it was managed at last moment, to help them rescue the car.Ivesvara
das
along with Madhava Kanta came with lunch Prasad after walking a lot to
find
us, then we went to hanuman temple reaching after 4 pm so the temple
was
opened,, at this moment the atmosphere was great and amazing full of
energy, seems hanuman was super pleased to see us coming and basically
GM
who is very dear to hanumanji, we went inside but before a police came
forbidden us from taken photos, we agreed but he doesn’t know that we
are
pushing devotees, anyway after we reached the temple I went before and
start ringing the bells to welcome GM, the pujari was very happy
seeing GM
and he was impressed by our love and service to GM as well, he was
talking
in bangla with GM as he is from Murshidabad and also have been in
Navadwipa
dham.GM joined his hand in mahamudra greeting hanumanji and offered a
mahagarland remnant of Srimate Radharani that was given to hanuman to
hold
on his neck but was too small so it was placed in his right hand.
Pujari
asked for blessings from GM and they were talking about some hindi
words
written on the donation box related to the aspect of Hanuman as
knowledge
giver also.Then I felt a very charged atmosphere with too much hanuman
shakti and started singing to Sita Ram Lakshman Hanuman while devotees
started parikram around the small temple, it was very blissful, but as
I
said even it was forbidden take photos, I told the pujari to allow us
to
take only few photos to GM in front of the hanuman temple and he
agreed,
and even down stairs we took although it was not permitted.
GM then was taken down to the park area but as many people were there
we
decided to go to a covered place in the terrace where His Holiness
took
Prasad. Devotees didn’t have Prasad except some roasted corn and
coconut
water on the beach, GM said mix some prasada in a plate and offered it
to
devotee as they did, when I saw Ivesvara coming I though oh, he must
have
some Italian Prasad, but ended up with south Indian spicy Prasad.
Prasad
was served by Ivesvara, Madhava Kanta, srivas nimai das and Dharesha
das
prabhu who has more years serving GM then all of us here. Ekanath
Gaura
went and brought some few things to eat and gave to devotes.
like after 1 hour it was sunset and GM liked the scenery so we took
pictures together and then boarded the car and went back to the
hospital.
During our journey HH Sivaram Swami called and wanted to talk to GM
when he
is in Hospital, as I have to go back to JUHU temple with the car I
started
Joking with GM and uplifting his mode and that soon he will be greater
than
ever. soon we want him in Mayapur for the Mahaabisheka and Gaurpurnima
festival and that many devotees would come this time for the 60th Sri
Vyasapuja celebration, as many miss him more than ever and always
attentive
to all news we post on his health. While he was placed on bed and
given
some small massage to his legs, as his right side is little dormant
and GM
cannot do much with it which is making delays in his recovery, we hope
by
the prayers of all of you soon will be better from this. I left
telling GM
joking, “sorry GM I have a bad news for you now. then Ekanath prabhu
guessed about my joke and he said yes Tusti is leaving, GM said “ oh
really you are leaving, oh noooo,I am holding my tears touching his
chest,
like when is affected and thus all laugh. As I wanted to make him feel
happy the whole long day enjoying some free and fresh environment
during
the day.

Today on Monday 5th of December I was told HH Radhanath Swami will
come for
short time maybe for the 50th birthday of HG Devakinandan prabhu, who
also
went this morning to get the blessings of Our gurumahraja in the
hospital
for his birthday. The reason is that the Committee of Radha Rasbihari
wanted to honor Devakinandan prabhu for his 33 years of service to
ISKCON
and maharaja was invited, but unfortunately same day was sad for all
of us
as a very strong and dear disciple of HH RNS had passed away in Delhi
and
was cremated yesterday on the 5th of December in Vrndaban on the banks
of
the Yamuna river, Maharaja arrived during night arati and garlanded
Srila
Prabhupada then came to the office of Barja hari and I was told about
the
sad news as I saw maharaja very sad and meditative for the loss of a
brave
devotee who was a police officer but decided to serve Srila Prabhupada
left
his government post to serve iskcon Vrndaban directly, helping in the
most
difficult moments the temple in and be always beside devotees in
difficult
time. May Krsna bless him.


While I was leaving the room with maharaja and braj hari, Maharaja
enquired
about me and my health and also told me, “ good you are here where
your
Gurumnahraja is serving with all”, but I felt like an ant beside the
giant
seva that his disciples are doing, and my other god brothers, so I
replied
maharaja after his warm hugs that we are very grateful to him and his
disciples for the extraordinary seva they are doing for our
Gurumaharaja
and wanted to thank him for his love for his dear God brother and
for the
very qualified team of doctors serving our beloved guru maharaja, He
was
smiling and reciprocating and I added that GM said that now all they
are
his adoptive sons , these words he liked very much and started
laughing,
later went to the hall for the official speeches about Devakinandan
prabhu’s seva to iskcon, as it was all in Hindi I didn’t understand
them
but when maharajas spoke it was great topic as per Devakinandan
request HH
RNS spoke on the art of dying, where he spoke about fear as the most
common
emotion that we all have and that is beside most of our actions, fear
to
loss to our beloved ones, to lose health, to poverty to all in general
and
how prahlad maharaja had no fear as he had the love and shelter of the
Lord. It was super ecstatic discourse.
Sorry for all inconveniences and or mistakes in these long diaries
that I
make.

serving
this great mission.
