Hi team, thought I would share this with you in case you're not on Face Book

A true lover and faithful husband to Nicky Lloyd, a great follower of Jesus and warrior in God's Kingdom, a wonderful servant hearted colleague in Vineyard ministry, a sensitive and gifted worship leader, a great Bible teacher and church planter, Rob Lloyd, went to be with Jesus this morning at 09:10. After a long battle with cancer, his body gave in and will now be laid to rest to await its resurrection at Christ's coming, when Rob will be raised to rule and reign with Jesus in his Kingdom on earth. In the mean time, Rob, you are 'absent from the body and present with the Lord', as Paul says. Enjoy your face to face fellowship and worship with Jesus and all the angels and saints around God's throne, dear Rob, as you rest from your labours here on earth. You will be reunited with all your loved ones! We will hug you again! You served more than well, you courageously and honestly lived for Jesus and fought cancer with persevering faith. Cancer has not defeated you, or God, or we who prayed and fasted so fervently for you. This is not a defeat! Jesus has conquered all sickness, is healing sickness, will one day banish it forever. He heals instantly, or progressively, or before death, or through death, or after death in the resurrection of our bodies. In all this, our hearts grieve, but not without hope as do those who don't know Jesus. We weep with you, and for you, Nicky, in your loss of your beloved husband and friend and lover and fellow follower of Jesus. We hold you, Nicky, in the womb of prayer, where God's regenerating and birthing Spirit works in all things for your good. We love you so much Nicky and pray for God's all sufficient comfort and grace to be your portion. Will we ever forget how Rob (and you) ran around at our national conference three weeks ago serving selflessly, in great weakness of body, mind and soul, for God's glory and our highest good? Will we ever forget how Rob led worship at the conference with such passion for Jesus? Will we ever forget how Rob (and you) sat time and time again graciously and humbly receiving ministry with the laying on of hands and anointing of oil? We will forever remember Rob this, and much, much more.

Kind regards,
Alexander F. Venter
