All E club members are welcome but need to register online. A few “sit-in” seats are available to NEW members and interested NECINA officers. “Sit-in” attendants will be free to ask questions after the meeting, but not during the meeting.

In today’s high tech world, social media is becoming more important to promote your business, and your brand. How can we use it effectively to reach your targeted customers? How to help you grow your business? How can we use social media and other tools available today to achieve our business goals. These are some of the questions that all business owners and executives have in their mind most of the time.
NECINA Entrepreneur Club has the honor of having Ms. Bobbie Carlton, founder of Carlton PR and Marketing, and co-founder of Innovation Nights, LLC which organize monthly networking events, to share with us as a keynote speaker her experience and her insight on how to use social media for small business, startup companies. Ms. Carlton will also introduce Mass Innovation Nights, a very popular and free networking event held monthly in MA for all innovators and entrepreneurs.
Before the talk, Host Harry Gao will introduce NECINA Entrepreneur programs (E-Club, NEW, YES 7.0) and IBM’s Global Entrepreneur Program. Entrepreneur Club new coordinator John Wang will share his experience of how his company Dreamech benefited from participation in this IBM program.
After the talk, we will have a group discussion including each Entrepreneur Club member companies to introduce their products and services, and we will discuss our plan for this NECINA year 2012-2013.
Bios:
Ms. Bobbie Carlton: Keynote speaker,
Bobbie Carlton, founder of Carlton PR & Marketing, is an award-winning marketing, PR and social media professional who is the co-founder of Innovation Nights LLC, a network of free monthly product launch parties and networking events powered entirely by social media. Carlton also heads up marketing for Accounting Management Solutions, Inc., an accounting and financial services firm that provides part-time and interim finance consulting and
accounting support for public, private and nonprofit organizations, and Tyler Place Family Resorts of Vermont. She teaches classes in social media marketing, consults with small businesses and individuals on social networking and social media marketing, and works with companies who are looking to access the Boston region entrepreneurial and innovation community.
Previously, in addition to working with a number of Boston-area PR and marketing firms, she headed global public relations at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) and Cognos (now IBM). Until 2008, she led the marketing efforts for the Beacon Street Girls, a social network and book series for preteen girls.
In 2010 she was named one of the ten Bostonians who have done the most for the startup community, and 2011 she was a recipient of a Mass High Tech All-star award. She is a popular speaker on a wide variety of topics. She mentors at MassChallenge, a startup incubator and competition, and advises a number of startups in the Boston area.
