Thenext major Baldur's Gate 3 update is adding more evil ending options to the game, and developer Larian Studios has now offered a glimpse at what some of those additions will look like. The story's conclusion has been repeatedly addressed across the course of the game's patches, with the epilogue notably getting some tweaks and new possibilities in one prior update. Sticking the landing is twice as important when it comes to an adventure with the scope of Baldur's Gate 3, where it's easy to sink well over a hundred hours into the game before seeing the credits roll.

The new teasers for darker Baldur's Gate 3 endings come courtesy of a Steam Community Update from Larian, which includes two gifs showcasing spoiler-filled moments from fresh ending material. One shows a psychic blast emitting from a Dark Urge character and washing over a crowd of kneeling supplicants in a burned-out square. The other is even more chilling, depicting a Dark Urge character striding across piles of human bones on a blood-soaked horizon with an eclipsed sun and a red sky looming above.

Baldur's Gate 3 has never shied away from offering opportunities to do evil throughout the game, but choosing to embark on a darker campaign has still had the tendency to prove underwhelming. While those interested in saving Faern from the Absolute for righteous reasons have always had generally satisfying outcomes for their choices, the payoffs for evil parties have been comparatively anemic. There are quite a lot of different ways to be nefarious, and most of them haven't yet been reflected when it comes to the grand finale.

The most obvious candidate for dark deeds is the Dark Urge Origin character, who's imbued with a tendency toward violence, but the new endings aren't exclusive to this path. Larian clarifies that improvements will be accessible to "non-Durge players," meaning it may well be possible to see a sweetheart like Karlach or a custom Tav walking among the bones. Baldur's Gate 3 is ultimately the player's story to shape, so however strange a particular path might seem, there's no wrong way to cross the finish line.

Another exciting note for the upcoming Patch 7 is that these endings will be accompanied by new music from the game's composer Borislav Slavov, and one such composition can be found on the official Larian Studios YouTube channel. Titled "March of Darkness," the track is appropriately foreboding, and it's easy to get excited about hearing it in context.

Patch 7 will also include improvements and additions to other areas of Baldur's Gate 3, so it's not just an update for those interested in wicked fates. The most exciting may be the introduction of official modding tools, which have the potential to keep the game fresh for years to come. There's no date for the release of the next Baldur's Gate 3 update yet, but it should be a thrilling addition when the time comes.

Except for mild to severe itching in up to 25% of patients, no systemic symptoms are typically present during the rash phase of pityriasis rosea. A few days before the rash develops, up to 69% have flu-like symptoms eg, cough or sore throat.

A few days to a few weeks later after the appearance of the herald patch, more scaly patches or plaques appear on the chest and back, most often appearing from the top down. A few plaques may also appear on the thighs, upper arms, and neck, but are uncommon on the face, scalp, palms, or soles.

These secondary lesions tend to be smaller than the herald patch. They are also oval in shape with a dry surface and the long axis of the oval lesion is often orientated around the ribs. Like the herald patch, they may have an inner collaret of scaling. Some plaques may be annular.

Pityriasis rosea patches and plaques usually follow the relaxed skin tension lines or cleavage lines (Langer lines) on both sides of the upper trunk. The rash has been described as looking like a Christmas tree in distribution. Worsening of the rash or a second wave of lesions is not uncommon before eventual spontaneous resolution of the eruption. In children the distribution and lesions are often atypical.

The pityriasis rosea rash often leaves behind patches of lighter (hypopigmented) or darker (hyperpigmented) discolouration. This may be more obvious in darker-skinned people and may take months to return to normal appearance.

While pityriasis rosea is a self-limiting disease, an important goal of treatment is to control pruritus, which may be severe in 25% of patients. In addition to education and reassurance, many patients will benefit from:
