Nice little story.
BTW, three of us did the second Dart Pop 120 K of the year in Kansas City. We had cool weather for the whole ride and headwinds from Atchison to Highland, KS. Oh well, the sun came out as we were finishing in St Joseph.
If anyone is interested in doing one of these events (or other team events) in Nebraska, let me know. We have 120 K in 8 hrs, 200 K and the traditional fleche of 360 km in 24 hrs. These are my favorite events, so, more than likely, I will try to join a team.
While speaking of team rides, there are UAF rides. No limit on the number of riders but done as a team. We will be offering a 600 K UAF event on May 24th in Kansas City. More than likely, we will have riders from all over the US and possibly even some from overseas.
Also, a UAF 200 K will be run again in Kansas CIty on June 7th.
The Nebraska region will dip their toes in UAF events on November 1st. I plan to work with some Omaha riders to come up with a route over the summer.
If you are interested in any of these team riders, feel free to drop me a note. We can start working on route, team or inspiration.
Ride lots,
Spencer
