The 2026 ACP calendar is up on the websites.  We will be adding RUSA events, gravel events, & Rouleur Events.  For Nebraska, I am working on a 5 day brevet tour of 100 to 150 mile rides that will cover the last Nebraska Sandhills 1,000 K route.  This will be a snowy day project for me over the winter.

I will say that getting to the ultra (10 yrs) R-12 is one of the most significant milestones of my rando career. It required a lot more effort than just doing a few rides a year. I was fortunate to have a flexible work schedule and an occasional bit of nice weather every month each winter. 
Now that I think of it, I was retired for nine of those years. That helps.

BTW, there is an orphaned permanent out there.  


I did see Jerry R. rode it recently.  Other than that, it is one sad permanent route now that Gary isn't riding it nearly every month.  Do they make antidepressants for permanent routes?

We need to commission one of those cyclist monuments like they have along the Tourmalet in France, maybe between Drexel and Butler... The smiling figure of a determined randonneur, with a large cinnamon roll lashes to the top of their rack trunk.  The locals will understand 😊

I guess I probably oughta ride this route for once ... Focusing on some fitness this winter to give the SR another go in '26
