Good evening,
Joe Edwards and I finally got our 200 K in for the month yesterday, so our R-12 streaks are still intact. Thank goodness, as it has been a cool (and snowy in St Joseph) January.
I am starting to focus on the 2025 season. Here are a few highlights:
John Stroh and Drew Evans are leading an early series for the RUSA Rouleau Award. The series will start on March 1st. See the KC website for more details:
https://www.audaxkc.com/
If the weather doesn't work out or if there is interest in a later season series of events, it might be run again in 2025. Stay tuned.
The first ACP event will be in Springfield, MO on March 8th. It is a nice course that the riders of Springfield developed.
I need to assign routes to many of the events, but those will depend upon the road construction. More to come.
A few more highlights:
The Fleche will return to our schedule in 2025. It will end in St Joseph.
We will be running a national UAF 600 K (True Audax Event) that will be the first Audax 600 K run outside of France. It is May 24th. If interested in either riding or supporting, please drop me an e-mail.
A UAF 200 K (Team Ride) in Kansas City will be June 7th.
The October 25th event (8K600K) will be changed to a point-to-point normal ACP 600 K starting in the Oklahoma City area and using the roads of Route 66. Rod and I rode this as part of a capital-to-capital ride and we loved it.
So, the season hasn't even started and I am making some changes. Keep an eye on the website.
Ride lots,
Spencer
