FYI, Ohio Fleche.
What the what? The season hasn't even started yet and you're asking us about May? Yes! As we all know, the Flèche is an incredibly fun event preceded by a bunch of French bureaucracy and planning. Teams are supposed to indicate their intention to ride 5 weeks before the event! That's March 29th!
1). We plan to end in Columbus at Dave Buzzee's again on Sunday May 4th (with a Saturday May 3rd start between 7-8am for a group finish on Sunday).
2). If the interest is high enough that we are worried about overwhelming the condo, we may relocate the finish to a nearby restaurant/facility in Columbus. The plan is 99.5% of any routing would not be affected, just the final miles. If the Flèche is similar in size to the prior couple of years, we anticipate no change.
3). Dave has, in years past, helped provide suggestions for the final leg through Columbus (and sometimes other remote areas of Ohio). It's worth listening to his suggestions for a safe and fun final leg into the finish.
4) Please fill out the google form to indicate interest for planning purposes (see #2).
4a) Interested but don't have a team? Fill out the survey. We can do a bit of matchmaking!
5) A team registration and individual signups on the Ohio Rando website will be required to ride!

A few of us traveled to Ohio a couple of years ago and had a very nice time. Something to put on your "bucket list".

Please consider forwarding this note to your region if you think there will be interest in riding the Ohio Fleche this year. We are in very, very early stages, but we are trying to get a vague idea of headcount!
