If you are interested in the 200 K / 300 K event in Glenwood on Saturday (April 11th), please EITHER register for the ride on the website OR drop me a note so we have enough cards and cue sheets.

Joe Ewards will be running the ride as I am heading to North Carolina to join a Fleche team this weekend.

April 11, 7 am
Glenwood, Iowa

200 K & 300 K start out on the same course and the 200 K turns north while the 300 K heads west towards Lincoln before returning to Glenwood.

Ride lots,
Spencer

PS:  One of my favorite tunes that seems to be appropriate for randonneuring:

PSPS:  Ron Himshoot (Seattle) on the purpose of the 200 K and 300 K:

The purpose of the 200k is to teach you the basics of how it all works.  How to follow a route.  How to get your card validated at controls.  How to ride within time limits.

The purpose of the 300k is to teach you how to take care of yourself on a long ride.  How to stay on top of your food and water consumption.  How to keep going when you get tired without hurting yourself.
