[Husker] NU v TTU

The only thing more "blah" than the Husker 1st half performance is the performance of the ESPN 3 signal. Very poor picture quality on Time Warner this evening. Of course the half-time report video has been flawless.

Actually, i thought they showed quite a bit of "guts" in coming back
from a deficit late. True, they shouldn't have been down but they did
make a comeback. Just didn't play very good defense or block out on
the last TT drive.

The more I see of Almeida, the less impressed I am. His "foot skills" are very poor and he doesn't seem to have very soft hands. Also, Gallegos has been a total disappointment this season. Ugh.

I thought some Huskers showed more guts than others. If NU had more
players who played with as much intensity and guts as Jeter, they
would have won the game.

The saying is that rebounding is about desire. Here's the line on
NU's starting big man, 6'11" Diaz:

On the other side, TTU's center had 9 rebounds. Doc talked afterword
about the defense, but TTU had 36-25 rebounding advantage against a
team with a bigger front line, including nearly twice as many offensive
rebounds.
