Did anyone see the OU flag in the stands at the B12 Game in KC? It looked
like an American flag with an "OU" replacing the stars but the strips pretty
much in tacked. I was not able to study it but from what I saw, someone is
creating a flag for college teams that may be inappropriate for the times.

I said something to my wife about it and she had seen both the OU and OSU
version in Bartlesville, OK that same day.

Q. Anybody know if there is a NU version of this flag? If so, who can I
contact to voice my complaint?

As one with a son that stepped on a ship on Monday of this week heading to
points unknown, I would encourage you not to purchase this specific flag for
yourself or as a gift. If you are so inclined, there are lots of great
Husker style flags on the market that can be purchased.

Have a Great Day, Tom

Tom,

I agree, and I have seen KSU flags with the same thing. I haven't seen the
Nebraska logo on one but if I do that will be one flag that I must burn.

i mean no disrespect here, so please don't take it as such.

but why is it inappropriate to incorporate one of the most enjoyable
american things there is out there; college football with our great Flag?
it is a free country after all isn't it? please explain why i should see it
as inappropriate as I'm not seeing it. my brother is in the armed services
too.

My guess is because this is the first time in the Husker List's existence
that we have no upcoming football game to talk about in December. :(
..nothing better to talk about, it seems.

I guess this goes along with going to a Chiefs game.

At the end of the national anthem they sing "and the home of the" and the crowd yells "CHIEFS".

It "incorporates" football with the national anthem but it doesn't make it right.

The time it brought tears to my eyes was the first time after 9-11 all the crowd sang

the national anthem and at the end yelled "and the home of the" and the crowd yelled "BRAVE

I saw the flag and I thought it was cool! I would love to have one just like it with the NU of course. What better way to show your love for America and the Huskers!

I respect those opinions that do not like this flag, but I think its a great idea.

Tom, I wish your son well, but I fail to see how a cool flag like this is disrepestful of your son or our country.
