Field Turf vs. Astro Turf

One of the fiercest battles in sport the next year or so will be fought in
court between Field Turf and Astro Turf. According to the FT people, the AT
people have stolen their patented product in developing "Astro Play." They
have sued Astro Turf and courts will ultimately decide whether or not the
ground rubber "dirt" base with polystyrene blades of "grass" is the
exclusive and patented property of Field Turf. I have only spoken with FT
people, but my inclination is they are going to come out on top. Stay tuned
for "Turf Wars 2000"...
