In a story by the AP this morning, it was announced that Frank Solich
will be making $200,000 this year which exceeds TO's by $50,000

Here is a snip:

"The $200,000 base salary for new Nebraska football coach
Frank Solich will exceed what former coach Tom Osborne earned by
$50,000, the Omaha World-Herald reported Sunday. Solich has not
signed a contract. Chancellor James Moeser and Gary Fouraker,
associate athletics director for business, said Saturday that
Nebraska is considering a 5-year deal. Compensation also would
include a $25,000 endowed chair and undisclosed outside revenue
from summer football camps, athletic apparel contracts and radio
and television promotions."

At least one Regent (Drew Miller) said no to Solich's salary saying it
was "big and unnecessary".

Drew Miller opposed Solich's salary, saying he thought Solich
would be willing to work for less. Moesser defended the salary
saying that it was a fair salary in the middle of the scale when
compared to other top-tier programs.
