These are the reservations of NCAA school presidents and chancellors regarding
the $2.4 billion proposal to get a playoff system instituted in college football.

I find it quite odd, especially in the face of Title IX requirements that make
the revenue generated by football even more important, that the NCAA would not
choose a playoff package that would generate more revenue (for the same costs)
over the current bowl system.

According to USA Today, the proposed system would bring in additional $160
million per year to the NCAA. Of course the system would extend the football
season and would also knock 28 teams of out non-conference post season action
(there are 22 bowl games currently).

Hmmm.
