Yo! How ya doin', PM?

I've been through a rough spell, but starting to return to some
semblance of normal.

Oh, dear. Much sympathy. Losing Mom is never easy. Mine is not doing
well herself and doesn't want to leave her house in FL. Neither me or
my brother live anywhere close (me in NJ and he's in the UP of MI) so
that complicates matters.

Both kids are home for the summer now. Paul is still at Penn State-Erie
(the soon to be home for PSU undergrad engineering) and Janell is at the
alma mater, Calvin College. She looking at fine arts, specifically
photography.

You work for IU?

Well, the Bay Area was a pretty good trek for me and my brothers,
but fotunately my sister lives in the area. You have my prayers
for the process.

Great--sounds like they are doing well!

No, a local medical device company called Cook. I often get asked
that question, especially when people learn I moved here from West
Lafayette (another Big Ten college town).

Hi strangers, been awhile,

Sorry to hear the news from Ted. I went through that about three years
ago. As I am an "only" at least there were no arguments about how to
handle things.

Personally, since last October my life has been less than stellar. Last
October I got an OWI but my attorney kept intentionally dragging it out
so we did still go to Naples, FL for part of the winter as usual.
Actually, the whole deal is still not finished. I have to spend 48 hours
in a motel for classes in lieu of jail that I have not got completed
yet. The real bummer was that on May 16th I checked in the motel for the
class and had a heart attack later that night. Of course I didn't want
to admit what was happening so I waited until 6:00 AM the next morning
and then called a cab to take me to the hospital.

Fortunately I didn't wait any longer because my heart totally quit about
ten minutes after I got to the hospital. The brought me back with CPR
and the shocking thingy, put a stent in, and I only stayed over one
night...still scary though.

As Ben would say - "That's my story and I'm sticking to it".

Cheers to all,

Don

Kinda like Ann Arbor & East Lansing...(me, attended U of M '77-'79)

And thanks for the kind thoughts for my Mom.

Well, now. There's something you don't hear about everyday. Then again,
I'm now Type II so it seems we're all Men of A Certain Age.

One of these years we ought to figure out how to be in the same room
again simultaneously and raise a glass of a beverage of choice to days
of yore.

It's been harder than I expected, and I have an idea what you've
been through. Things have been pretty good with my sibs, so no
real complaints there.

Wow! Sorry to hear about the difficulties, but glad you pulled
through!

Good thought. I'm in southern Indiana, where are you again? I
think Don is still in Iowa. Moe is in Australia, not sure when he
might be back stateside. Should we contemplate a trip down under?

Who else? Don't think we would get Ben. :(

Yeah, I'm in NJ now. Definitely not a weekend trip. Or Moe, for that
matter. And Ben, sadly, too.

Well, we are normally in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, or Minnesota but for
part of the winter we are in Naples, Fl. During the summer when we are
not in the aforementioned states we travel to Indiana, Ohio, and
probably will fly out to California sometime this summer/fall.

Was going to Kansas City last weekend but there was a great rock band
playing a bit north of us so we ended up there and never made it to
Kansas City. This coming weekend we will be in Des Moines simply to mess
around. Actually, we are rarely home on weekends as we are quite flexible.
