love when people become so online in spaces like this where marginalized people are actually the ones dominating the conversations, that they forget what its like in the real world and start making positivity posts for things that are literally 100% unchallenged and normalized irl

if you see a guy online with his girlfriend and he has a pride flag in his bio and your first reaction is to question whether hes even allowed to put that there, log off. the guy could be bi, could be trans, could be nb, could be literally any queer identity at all and it doesnt matter. its none of your fucking business. he could also just be an ally showing support, its none. of your. business.

aw shoot so it's VIZ Media that has been issuing the copyright strikes on this tumblr blog? that makes me feel a bit hopeful that they may have an interest in officially releasing the TF go! go! comics to the west, and that still makes me angry for you that they've taken down your fan translations which weren't even being monetized. regardless, thank you so much for your work!

All of SKAM, in one convenient post. That I can pin to my tumblr, with the hopes that people will stop asking how to watch the show, despite the numerous links to the episodes on my tumblr! Ever the optimist, I know. :-D

I've been listening to a ton of reaction videos and podcasts about Young Royals now, pretty much everyone apologizes for butchering their names, and then they proceed to butcher their names. So I decided to put together a little guide, because this is an educational tumblr after all!

I am trying to download many (1000's) of images from tumblr with a particular tag (.e.g #art). I am trying to figure out the fastest and easiest way to do this. I have considered both scrapy and puppeteer as options, and I read a little bit about the tumblr API, but I'm not sure how to use the API to locally download the images I want.Currently, puppeteer seems like the best way, but I'm not sure how to deal with the fact that tumblr uses lazy loading (e.g. what is the code for getting all the images, scrolling down, waiting for for images to load, and getting these)Would appreciate any tips!

Shares of Yahoo (YHOO) were higher in early trading Monday. The stock is up more than 33% this year as investors bet that Mayer will be able to turn around the company, which has faced stiff competition from Google (GOOG), Facebook (FB)and AOL (AOL) in the past few years. Yahoo still trails Google widely in the online search market, despite a partnership with Microsoft (MSFT).

Six years on from when I first experienced these online arguments, the repetition may well come from newer generations growing up and experiencing the internet, in a society which is theoretically more liberal and accepting.

Like most other social networking services, Tumblr tends to skew toward the urban and educated. Seven percent of urban Internet users say they use Tumblr, as does the same percentage of online users with college degrees.

Nagle presents her work as an attempt to map the online culture wars that occurred in the early 2010s and how it resulted in the development of alt-right which played a major role in the election of Donald Trump. Nagle introduces the 2010s as a period in which "cyber utopianism" began to emerge with the rise of internet-based social activism such as the Arab Spring, Occupy movement, WikiLeaks, adbusters, and Anonymous which were based on decentralized leadership and online organization. This internet-based activism was immediately embraced by much of mainstream liberalism without any rigorous analysis or appraisal of the organizational structure and limitations of these internet-based movements, which all resulted in consistent failure and eventual collapse. Many of these movements began on image-based online forums such as 4chan and 8chan. These forums, organized on the basis of anonymity, developed a subculture among the users that combined extremely transgressive and dark humor with a deeply misogynistic and racist attitude.

Columnist Ross Douthat of the New York Times praised Nagle's "portrait of the online cultural war",[12] and the Times columnist Michelle Goldberg said that Kill All Normies had "captured this phenomenon".[13] Novelist George Saunders listed Kill All Normies as one of his ten favorite books helping him through the "current political moment".[14]

To date, most of the awareness of PrEP has been driven by campaigns developed by local government agencies. In New York, for example, the health department in 2015 created the #PlaySure campaign, which features ads in subway stations, on MTA buses, and online. It provides free kits, which hold condoms, lubricant, and prevention medications ranging from Truvada to birth-control pills. Health departments in San Francisco and other cities have also launched campaigns.
