I mentioned this to my dad last year, that I had noticed a trend in car colors that seemed, not matte, but somehow different to regular cars. He looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my forehead. I was seeing them all time, except when I was in a car with my dad, and then there were none to be found. Typical. Well, here's a video with a buncha visual aids and some research about the phenomenon.
