@mk7z,
Can you share what it looks like when they display as thumbnails on your end? I tested by sending an email from a Yahoo! mail account to my gmail account, which seemed to work as intended.

I was using the Yahoo mail service for the last three years. I am a bit fond of Yahoo mail & use it to share photos with my friends instead of social media. The benefit of using Yahoo mail for sharing Photos is that they can be kept long as an archive on the cloud without any much size restriction.

Trial Limitation: The free demo edition of this toolkit will only allow the users to download pictures from the first 25 Yahoo emails. If you want to save photos from all the Yahoo emails, activate the software by purchasing its license.

This problem that you are having with opening photos is it in the mail app, or the Yahoo app? I assume that Yahoo has an email app. In either case, have you quit the app or apps completely and relaunched and tried again?

Dragging the app preview up away from the display at the bottom of the screen accomplished nothing. Yahoo Mail is still there when I go back to the regular layout - it's the mail app below the main screen and is right next to Safari, Photos and Music. I did not want to have to delete the app and then reinstall it, but apparently that may be my only recourse.

Thanks. I used photo apps in Macbook to import photos from USB-C adapter--Card Reader-- SD Card. I can view the photos in the photo apps in Macbook.
Just that, when I try to attach the "Mickey.jpg" from the Safari browser, when running Yahoo mail... I am unable to see the micky.jpg for me to click and select.

On Windows, that works because you are navigating to where the files are located. But, on the Mac, if you imported the photos in the Photos app, it stores them inside the Photos library, and you cannot get to them using the dialog from Safari.

One more thing, I had inquired about this a few days ago and they did say they will pull a logo automatically for companies that are sending fully signed DMARC email. I am unsure where they go to obtain a logo...it may come from Facebook or LinkedIn.

In a show of surprising innovation, Yahoo has added a helpful new folder to its popular webmail service that shows users all of their sent and received photos, the company announced today in a blog post.

Yahoo Mail has more than 300 million users worldwide, so the company clearly has a reason to continue innovating and creating new solutions for its mail product as it kills other services. The new photos folder (I refuse to call this an app) sits alongside the Flickr folder and your other folders tied to your Inbox on the left-hand side of your e-mail box.

This wikiHow teaches you how to attach photos to email messages using the Yahoo Mail mobile app and Yahoo.com on a computer. Whether you're using a phone, tablet, or computer to send email with Yahoo, you can easily attach photos by clicking the photo attachment icon at the bottom of your new message. The icon looks like a paperclip on a computer and a photograph in the mobile app.

Friendly FYI. Yahoo and ymail are pretty bad from a security and privacy standpoint. Maybe you've had the account forever, but I'd recommend a gmail or outlook account over Yahoo any day. I'd use a yahoo mail account for junk and nothing more.

Hi Lingall,I found that i had to go to Firefox "options" and enable third party cookies, keep until they expire. FF5 now shows images in yahoo mail. Perhaps it will work for you? Not happy about third party cookies but my other addons, no script and ghostery take care of me.

Since upgrading to new yahoo mail i also have this problem in FF5, have tested and tried all help topics, used ff safe mode, cleared cache, set image permissions etc. No problem with blurry fonts. No problem with video attachments, just jpeg type images.Dell laptop Vista home premium, 3 gigs RAM, clean fast machine.

I went through all the same steps that you did, goldhound. I hope someone from will come up with a solution. The only way I can view the jpeg images is when I forward the email - then I can see them in the forward message frame.

I have figured out how to save files from yahoo mail. First open email then right click it and select view image, then go to file and SAVE PAGE AS and it saves the photo. This is what worked for me, yes I hate the new and improved yahoo mail as well.

Here's a nifty tip from Apple that I was completely unaware of. Whenever I email a photo, I do so via iPhoto, which takes care of resizing for me.

Apparently you can resize photos that you drop into Mail messages from the Finder just as easily. Once you've got the photo into the body of your message, a drop down menu will appear in the window's lower right hand corner. Click it to reveal several options: Small, Medium, Large and Full Size. Make your selection and your image is resized for you.

Perhaps you've been doing this for ages now, but as someone who uses iPhoto for this procedure, it was news to me.

Yahoo Mail boasts 300 million users worldwide. The number is fairly steady from the 310 million users reported in October, but the stability may not looks as good when compared to Gmail's reported growth since then (from 260 million to 350 million).

"We're looking at our users and how Yahoo Mail users are using Yahoo Mail, and we know how important photos and photo sharing are to them, and how many photos are shared via email -- as opposed to a competitive move against Gmail or Hotmail," he said.

The new feature, which is accessible on the toolbar on the left side of the screen along with Yahoo Mail's other apps, pulls photos from your e-mail and displays them in a gallery that can be filtered by sender, year, size, and file type. If you scroll your mouse over an image, it will show the subject line of the e-mail if came from, which you can click on to get to the original e-mail.

McDowell said this is different from the current, more-limited Flickr app, which displays your photostream and allows you to share the uploaded photos via e-mail. That app will be phased out eventually.

for some reason, images get HUGE in yahoo mail. it seems yahoo trigers the responsive css (although the mail is viewed on desktop).
