Invitation letter

Hello,

Bob and I have drafted an invite letter, and the membership working
group has had a chance to provide comments. So now I'd like to give
everyone else a chance to provide feedback. I have posted a draft
(.doc) in the files section. Please take a look at this.

After a few more loose ends are tied-up. I think we will soon be ready
to send out the invites. Various individuals are busy updating the IH
list and Kathie (and I) is busily tweaking the web site. Over the
next week or two, I'll continue to keep everyone posted on these
activities.

It notice that we never define the area we cover in the letter, and
this might be worth doing.
I suggest doing that here, inserting the word in caps.

The mission statement of the consortium states that our initial
interest is: “to provide online access to specimen data housed in
member institutions, with particular emphasis on collections from the
region,” WHICH EXTENDS FROM NEW JERSEY AND PENNSYLVANIA NORTH AND
FROM ONTARIO WEST.
