Does anyone have any experience with trying to make digital images of plant specimens look really good on all sorts of computer monitors?

Has anyone used a spectrometer to assess the monitor spectra?

We are considering the purchase of spectral analysis software and finding a spectrometer to make sure that the plant specimen images that we shoot will reproduce well on variuos monitors. We want to buy the right software and spectrometer (or find one to borrow or rent, since they are pricey). I'm thinking about SpectraShop 2 (rmimaging.com).

thanks, Dorothy
